Bridge Rectifier
A rectifier is an electrical device that is used to convert alternating current to direct current. Since electronic circuits usually require direct current to operate and alternating current is used to distribute electrical energy, a rectifier is a part of most electrical devices and consumer electronics devices powered from the mains. Rectifiers are also widely used in power supply systems of electric traction vehicles (e.g. for driving locomotives, trams, trolleybuses or subway cars).
